Established in 1979, the OCA-Greater Houston Chapter (OCA-GH) is a regional chapter of OCA - Asian Pacific American Advocates (OCA), a national membership organization with 50+ chapters and affiliates and 30,000 members across the United States. As a local chapter, we implement OCA’s mission to advance the social, political, and economic well-being of Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders through the following four pillars: 1) Advocate for social justice, equal opportunity, and fair treatment 2) Promote civic participation, education, and leadership 3) Advance coalitions and community building 4) Foster cultural heritage OCA-GH is a grassroots organization of community advocates that strives to meet the current and evolving needs of a diverse population
