Knits and Kits (Ninth Island Aunties)
- HQ
Las Vegas, NV
- Founded
2013
Catherine Minami founded Ninth Island Aunties in 2004, and has since grown to become a bigger organization. Catherine is a true Hawaii girl and believes that kindness and empathy can go a long way. In doing so, she embodied the meaning of Aloha in serving others in the community. Catherine first started by making baskets to donate to shelters and rescue missions. Shortly after, a few of her wahine (women) and Kane (Men) friends became interested in helping and the rest was history.
