Chinese American Parent Association of Montgomery County (CAPA-MC) was founded in 2016 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization serving and advocating for Asian American, especially Chinese American families in Montgomery County. Our objective is to promote Asian American parent involvement in school communities, to advocate on behalf of our students and parents, who are often first generation immigrants, and to establish a strong partnership with all stakeholder to address educational issues and challenges. As we share the common goal of excellent education for all children, we realize that the Chinese American parents’ voices are often missed in various area related to education. By working together with local schools, PTAs, and Board of Education, and other parent communities, we thrive to build a better future all our children, despite of our language, cultural, communication, and institutional barriers.
