Korean American Community Coalition
- HQ
Brea, CA
- Founded
2020
In 2020, Korean American Community Coalition started as a center to serve the community in Los Angeles County. Most, if not all, members were non-English speaking Korean Americans, which was the root of their lack of understanding and desire for government aid. To remedy this issue, we assisted with consultations and applications for Medi-Cal, Medicare, SSA, SSI, Calfresh (food stamps), and low-income/affordable housing. After providing services to about 170 members, we officially became a non-profit organization in 2021. Ever since, our work has expanded tremendously to serve the youth, seniors, low-income, underserved and underrepresented in Los Angeles and Orange County.
